Friday Real Estate Porn: Kingston Second Empire Mansion, $2.1 mill

Crikey. What a place. I’ll live in the gazebo.

This National Register historic site is on the Hudson, my most favorite place to be in upstate New York. And look what two million gets you in the city of Kingston: seven beds, five baths, 30 rooms, ELEVEN THOUSAND SQUARE FEET and almost 12 acres. The place is called Edgewood Terrace, and it’s been on the market since February. If you buy this glorious piece of Kingston, N.Y. real estate because you saw it here first, you really owe us a weekend up there, don’t you think? Stats on the jump.

  1. This was artist Hunt Slonem’s home for a long time. He just sold it a few years ago. Looks like the new owners just toned down some of his very colorful wall colors, but kept some of the furnishings. This is an amazing house. I’d be quite happy in the carriage house, myself. Too bad those pesky lotto numbers never seem to come up my way.

OMG, this is an astounding house! I totally covet it. Curious as to whether furnishings will be included in the sale, what the modern kitchen appliances look like, how far a drive it is to downtown, and what the taxes on this incredible house are.

Just give me a garret in the widows walk tower, and leave me to write poetry a la Emily Dickenson.

    Amazing…..
